Just like in life, when building a business we’re told NOT to follow the crowd so you can be your own “brand” and stand out.
However, when you’re trying to discover WHAT your brand is—Lord let alone finding yourSELF in the process—it’s a bit hard to be out there doing stuff on your own.
I know what that feels like because I was alone when I got started. No upline. Sponsor ignored me. No support for over two. damn. years.
It’s not that I’m whining. I just know how hard it is to be alone, yo.
Having to rely on the training to be your mentor? But oh the PLETHORA of training! Shall we say overwhelmness?
Have you been there?
Are you there now and struggling a bit???
If I could offer a small piece of advice—something that’s worked exceptionally well for me, over the years?
What will help is for you go to your company’s events.
Surrounding yourself with people who are doing the very same thing, you don’t feel alone anymore—and it lets you push pause on the self-judgment long enough to GROW.
This is when following a crowd in the sea of sameness, in this regard, can be a GOOD thing.
Think of the dreamer who is told that their ideas are dumb until they find an entire tribe of people on the Internet who are doing exactly that.
Think of the business owner who is scared to take a leap until they finds an entire group of people who are all taking leaps of their own.
It helps us to do what we have to do and not feel lost.
Maybe following a crowd can help us get the confidence we need to stand out.
