Content marketing is mah thang. I’m an attraction marketing mentor and one of the most common questions I get is:
“Does giving away free content a little bit counterproductive?”
Because, you know, we’re all here to make money online. And I’m here to tell you in this video how I built my business using free content.
But before I get into that, I just wanted to clarify content marketing.
Content: pieces of information that you are going to share out there with your audience.
Marketing: you are out there on the interwebs posting on Facebook, YouTube, Twitter, or other social media platforms, or your blog (hint hint nudge nudge wink wink)
When I first started in this industry back in 2013, one of the things I was told is that if you keep giving content away for free, you’re not going to attract buyers.
That is a HUGE myth because over the years I have created my own content, my own free lead magnets (like the ones you see on this blog) and I gave everything away.
So is that smart or dumb? This is what I learned from that experience:
