It was only 4 short years ago I was sitting in front of my computer not knowing the ultimate power I had at my finger tips: knowledge.
Back then, I didn’t realize that knowledge means JACK SQUAT when it’s not applied! (btw, who is this jack and how strong his gluteus maximus must be from squatting all the time)
It’s been a full year now since Dave, my business partner, and I have come up with the Workshop Warrior Institute (name credit goes to our top leader, Jamie James – as I call the man with two first names) for the digital entrepreneur.
You see, I have locked the ultimate secret to success: To teach others how to monetize the knowledge they have learned and you will have a very wealthy life.
But this is a bitter-sweet industry. Your time is VALUABLE and you have to choose who you spend more time with and those you should cut off who want to SUCK everything out of you.
When I was gaining traction in my business, I caught myself wanting to prove how much I actually know by giving people a lot of my time and knowledge for free.
As I gained confidence in both my mentoring abilities and my business woman-ing abilities (totally a word), the automatic diarrhea of the mouth slowly but surely started to dry up.
What woke me up is when I tracked the time I was spending with those who were not investing in my services (stupid, I know this now)
…only to discover that putting TOO MUCH time in people who MIGHT come back (which in reality, they do but to get more free info) all this was doing was keeping me poooooooor. Emphasis on the ooooooooooo.
Lesson learned: My time is valuable. YOUR time is valuable. And you don’t need to promise anyone the world or to gain approval or to assure then that you do, indeed, know your shit.
The information on a “need to know” as a rule is enough – and you know how I know it is?
Because they buy from me when they want to know more.
Don’t assume that everyone needs more from you, if the proof in the ROI says that they don’t.
