It’s the result of good business and helping create success for other people. You can’t post, “I have a legitimate way of making money online. PM me.” and expect to get long standing customers to stick around. Why not instead publicly edify people you’ve already helped and gain the trust of your audience to turn them into potential clients.
*sips wine* Why yes. Yes it can be.
In my experience, using the line I quoted above only attracts people who are looking for a quick-fix get-rich way to make money fast. The minute they learn they have to put in work, they run. It’s our job (the ones who are making it work) to make sure we set the intentions right away.
I always lead with value and have never said how much I make – nor has anyone asked. Because I always talk about what they want and what they need to do to get it.
Sometimes, making money gets a lot easier when you stop focusing on making money—and start focusing on the person giving it to you.
