The Birth of a New Project: OnStage™ Academy
I’ve been in the Internet Marketing space since 2013 and seen a lot of bullshit. However, in order to see the bullshit I guess I had to be the bullshitter. Let me explain…
On April 16, 2013 I had my first encounter of an Internet Marketer who sold me on the idea that I can take these packages of products and sell them to other people for a commission.
I spent my first three years as an online newbie studying an average of eight hours a day, traveling thousand of miles across the US attending company events, invested about $15,004.64 in their products, tools and upsells – all from ONE company so I can learn how to make $10,000 per month in my first month as a newbie.
$15.004.64 in 36 months comes out to $416.80 per month. In those three years I was working as a “Professional Minimum Wager” and grossed about $15,360 – which comes out to $426.67 per month. That left me with -$9.87 (yes, that’s a negative number) in my pocket per month.
Not exactly $10,000 that I was sold that “even a newbie can do”.
And just for fun, if I include money I spend on ads, I would be well in the hole of about -$74.02 per month (yes, that’s a negative number).
The problem wasn’t that I couldn’t do it. I was taught backwards.
The problem was the system in that company that I devoted my first three years as a newbie was broken. Then I realized that they were not the only one.
The Guru’s of Internet Marketing over-promise and under-deliver by providing just enough information so we have no choice but to keep buying.
We are working the hardest so they can have the big cartoon checks.
Between being broke, depressed, and frustrated, I realized that those who made money either have had previous experience in the industry or already had a big list or had a mentor or a team to show them how to succeed quickly or lied their way to the top by taking advantage of people.
But this isn’t a rant session! I wouldn’t be where I am today because of that company. In fact, I learned a lot of what NO TO DO and discovered what they had missing in their system and with most of the digital educational products out there, and it’s this:
We don’t need any more hype!
What we need are systems that work. Step-by-step guides. Bullet point action plans. Checklists of how to get from point A to point Z. No fluff. No Hype. No Bullshit. No flashy cars. No big cartoon checks. No missing information. No “forgotten” secret. Nothing held back.
Wouldn’t it be refreshing if you were able to know that real people making real reachable results using systems that work for anyone who just applies what they learn? Heck ya!
More than ever, the world needs people like you and me who tell it like it is, don’t give fluff, and ALWAYS deliver.
On October 24, 2017, I finally realized that I needed to help stop the hypie bullshit in online marketing and teach people that they can have an online business without being judged as “one of them”.
Of couse, selling your product or service requires you to insist on your own brilliance.
And that’s a difficult thing to do, sometimes, when you have been surrounded by those who over-promise and under-deliver.
You want to show people that you are indeed REAL, humble, modest, and not …hype
And yet, in order to do a great job marketing, selling, launching, promoting, you have to put yourself on display; tell the world that what you have is going to be great for the industry, if not the world!
You will have to brag about this thing you’ve made; people you’ve helped; be willing to make a promise that, yes, this is worth it.
This is exceedingly more difficult when you aren’t sure you even believe in the value you offer, and that’s precisely why my #1 tip for selling yourself has nothing to do with the way you sell, and everything to do with WHY you are selling it.
Anything less would be fraud, and that’s exactly why, I suspect, so many people feel like one.
